Has it really been 6 months??

I can't believe it but I think it's actually been 6 months since I've posted anything! So Landon will be 4 in July and Levi is 18 months. They are very active and keep me on my toes! We adore our boys!

Forts and wrestling is what they do best!

Every once in a while, I'll snap a picture and Levi will actually look like his daddy!
Gotta go to bed, I'm pooped...we'll see if we can post before another 6 months goes by!

Smith Family Vacation '09!!

We went to Oak Island and Wrightsville Beach in NC. This was the vacation we'd looked forward to all year long. Alma's travel has some perks after all. Landon and Levi loved the ocean and the sand. Keeping a paci in Levi's mouth was sometimes tricky (he ate a lot of sand) but both of our boys love the beach so they were happy. We were at Wrightsville for the annual Sand Sculpting contest and when our kids get older we'd love to join it someday.

Alma was lucky to catch this picture...the dolphins were putting on a show right in front of the hotel for about 20 minutes. I could swear they knew exactly what they were doing.

Our little Levi started walking this past month (8 months), sand was harder for him but still on the go

Night walk

Our little surfer dude was a celebrity on the beach again...Such a social butterfly; he wanted to talk to everyone and wanted to sit in the jacuzzi with the older "cool" people.

Here's a very quick update...more to come
Landon is 3 and had a wonderful birthday party, which I swore we'd never do again...we'll see. They had fun, but just a tiny bit stressful. Levi is 8 months, growing and walking and wonderful as ever. He's learned how to snort for some reason, which is quite hilarious and Alma and I thought maybe we shouldn't encourage it, but sometimes I can't help myself. We're on vacation at the Beach so we'll have more pictures coming!

Landon wanted me to see him pose and I said, "who does that?" He said his Uncle Johnny. Of course, who else?

My boy!!! Gotta love that cheeser!

Superman with goggles! ahhhh!

I found Levi in the laundry basket! He was quite proud

Alma and I are having so much fun with our boys

We have moved!

So we're in our new home... I say home, because it is not a house, but it is definitely our home. We love it already. Our apartment is fun and we've met some new friends. Landon and Levi are doing well. Levi was sleeping well and then got a cold so I did a big no-no by putting him in bed with me when I was beyond sleep deprivation. He got a little used to it, so I'm trying to get him back to crib sleeping. I knew there would be consequences, but you gotta do whatcha gotta do, right? Levi's forehead is pretty bruised... I can't keep him off of the furniture and I can't hover around him all day. But he's a happy boy most of the time! Landon is so funny...he cracks me up on a daily basis (On occasion I choose to laugh so I don't cry - all mothers know how that is) His new thing is getting a piece of bread, going into Levi's room, opening the blinds, and breaking the bread and putting tiny pieces all over the window sill and then eating them as he watches the people outside and talks to them (himself). I LOVE IT. Alma and I are doing well...we're going to see NO DOUBT in concert soon. Fun fun! Anyways, that's our quick update. I'll add pictures later.

Our little Missionary

Our 4 month old has decided to go on a mission...the shoes may get a little worn, and his hair might need a trim.....We're so proud

Levi is growing up sooo fast, as is our Landon. Levi is happy most of the time, but when he's upset, boy is he upset. Landon tries to soothe him by saying, "it's okay Yi Yi". That's how Landon say's Levi. Now that Levi is a little bit stronger, Landon feels that it is time to start the wrestling training. I cannot wait till they can play and rough-house (a little) Oh...my sweet boys!
