Our little Missionary

Our 4 month old has decided to go on a mission...the shoes may get a little worn, and his hair might need a trim.....We're so proud

Levi is growing up sooo fast, as is our Landon. Levi is happy most of the time, but when he's upset, boy is he upset. Landon tries to soothe him by saying, "it's okay Yi Yi". That's how Landon say's Levi. Now that Levi is a little bit stronger, Landon feels that it is time to start the wrestling training. I cannot wait till they can play and rough-house (a little) Oh...my sweet boys!

Good idea gone waaay wrong!

So, I had a fantastic idea to get rid of Landon's pacifier. I told him a story about a boy and had him act it out. The story ended with the little boy sending his paci up with 2 balloons to the Valentine Fairy, who would in return, leave a Valentine on his pillow. Everything was going as planned until the balloons got stuck in the tree....I don't know why we didn't take him to a more clear area... A Perfect plan was now not only ruined, but sabotaged so that the paci is at a low enough height that he can see it when he walks outside but too high to get out of the tree. I know...only I could have managed to do something like this. Now, Landon is tortured when he walks outside. Bed time was extremely tough, but we'll take it one day at a time and hope for the best. Happy Valentine's day my Landon, my poor boy. I feel terrible.
Other than that... Alma is gone for Valentine's Day so I made a little slideshow of what he's missed this week. I Love you Sugar!

A lot of catching up to do!!

Well it's been over a month and we've got a ton of catching up to do! So much has been going on!

Our Chippendale's dancer ...yes that's a bow tie and he did this all on his own. We're having a little trouble keeping his diaper on, so recently we've resorted to duck tape which he likes because it's his "belt". Works great by-the-way! But we're hoping potty training will take over soon.

Our Little Levi is smiling all the time now...I love it!
These were taken at 6 weeks....He's huge! I never thought I would have such big boys!!

The men

We had a wonderful Christmas...Alma actually got to be home and we got used to him being there; it went by too fast. Now Landon misses him when he's traveling. He called him on the phone and cried and said, "Miss" and "hug." I know it was hard for Alma to hear that and it's been hard to not have daddy around much but we're coping and trying to stay busy.

Landon got this police bike from Uncle Justin and Aunt Jennifer...it's the cutest thing in the world. He stays very serious when he drives (as you can see by his face).
Since then, I've cut Landon's hair and I must say again, I miss his long curly hair. But now he looks like a real big boy. Too bad the only picture I have of my big boy is him eating yogurt with his hands.

Who wouldn't miss seeing that matted mess every morning?

He's Here!!!

Levi Ashton Smith was born Nov. 5th, 2008! Yay! Although hard, it was a wonderful labor and delivery. The hospital called at 2:30 a.m. and said they had a bed available (I was supposed to be induced on the 4th, but too many mommies were in labor), so we rushed off and they broke my water instead of giving pitocin, which I was glad about. My sister-in-law, Jennifer was my nurse and helped deliver our Levi! It was really fun and a great experience to have her there. Levi was sideways so the doc. had to turn him as he came down (probably why he wouldn't come earlier and why his nose was so flat). Levi was born fairly quickly and we are sooo glad he's finally here!!! Landon LOVES his baby brother and isn't too jealous...yet. He was a big boy at 8 lbs. and 21 inches!!!

Landon and Levi's Aunt Jennifer who helped deliver him

My sweet boy; I think it was harder on me than Landon to not be with him 24/7. I missed him so much while I was at the hospital!

He came home on a beautiful fall day!

Happy Halloween!

This year I was determined to make Landon into a turtle, which is one of his favorite things. I finished the shell and that's about it, but it still worked out and he was a cute turtle. He loved trick-or-treating! He just said "treat" at the door and put his open hand out, and then sometimes waited as if he was supposed to receive something else; It was very cute and entertaining.

I think our second hasn't come yet because he really wanted to go trick-or-treating too!

THE AFTER PARTY!

And then, the lovely sugar highs...
His uncle Johnny's jock-strap... yeah, what a boy
Mommy Log 2: WHEN? WHEN?? When??
I can't belive I'm going to have a November baby. First due date was Oct. 16th, then it changed to the 28th. Now, we're into November and still no show. For about three weeks we've been thinking it was "tonight," then, suddenly it's "tomorrow" and everything has stopped. It's soooo different from Landon, who was a week early. But we are so thankful that it's soon; I might be induced on election day (tuesday), but we're hoping he comes before then. Emotionally draining but we're hanging in there.

The loves of my life

Both Alma and Landon are constantly making me laugh...They do the exact same faces and Landon admires his daddy so much. I love it.
