Small towns
There are some days when living in a really small town can get on your nerves; just having to drive 15-25 min. to get anywhere. However, there are other days that just make living in a small town worth it. Yesterday, we stopped to get icecream yes-Hallaluja! My little town has an icecream shop! Unfortunately, they only had strawberry when we got there...but our expectations weren't that high anyways. They did have a baby cone though that Landon thoroughly enjoyed since he could hold it and eat it all by himself. It was really cute but we didn't have a camera with us, so no pics today. Anyways, it was really fun...we actually had a blast just sitting outside watching Landon learn how to lick the edges of his icecream cone. We also had a good laugh at a flyer that was completely spelled wrong all over the place. But let me tell ya, the people in these small towns are so so so nice. Just really great, nice people. And we actually left the icecream shop wanting to go back sometime. That tells ys something if they only had strawberry to offer. Anyways, we had fun and I appreciate all the good ol' southern hospitality that we enjoy.

Look who's talking 7
Hi! Landon here. I decided to get some blogging done since my mom doesn't do it anymore. We've had a lot of fun lately...But on a quite serious note, I don't know what has gotten into my mom lately. She is very emotional and she's eating sweets all of the time! I'm not complaining though, cause I get some too. Now here's the really crazy part. She talks about growing a baby inside her tummy! Weird, I know. I mean, even if she was growing a baby in her tummy, how fun would that be to play with?Anyways, here's what I've been up to...Sleeping has been tough because a lot of changes have taken place. I'm a big boy now, which means a LOT of responsibility, including a big boy bed. The other night I had trouble getting to sleep (insomnia already? I think not). I was wide awake and I decided to dangle my pacifier between the bed and the wall. I looked over to see my mom's face. It wasn't a happy one, so I knew I'd be in trouble if I dropped it down there. But I couldn't resist! I dropped it and had to see where it would go! I tried to look surprized so that the consequences wouldn't be to harsh, but I still had to sleep without it that night. But I showed her, I didn't need it anyways. I really am growing up!
Also, the rest of the pictures show what I've been up to....

Hmmm....Should I use this time wisely??
Today, was quite eventful...Landon had to go into time-out a few times. Then, when we went outside, he started to climb his favorite tree. He was having fun until he went horizontal and started grunting. He actually got stuck in this position...I had to get my brother to grab the camera before I helped him; poor guy. Maybe I could have gotten some things done during this time, but I decided to be a good mother and help him. But only after I got the picture below. Don't worry; he had just barely started whining. So funny, though. It'll be a good one to show him when he's older and say that's where I put him to get things done around the house!
My poor boy..I debated putting this on here because it looks so sad; but I just couldn't leave it off. It's the funniest thing I've ever seen. Anyways, he absolutely loves the outdoors. He'd live outside if he could and I'm glad because I probably could too. We have so much fun fishin too...even though it's without a hook. I'll get a picture of that later.

FREEDOM!
Well, today was Landon's first field trip with his aunt and uncle. I got him up early this morning and kept telling him he was going to go bye-bye with his aunt and uncle. I was worried how he'd react, but he got into their car and smiled and was happy to go! They took him to a natural science center and he LOVED it. They spoiled him rotten and when he came home, he didn't even care to give me a hug. He didn't miss me or home at all! Let's just say that Landon is not going to be a homebody. It's time for another baby who just wants mama!!!
By the way, I thought well, if my friend, Brittany, can take her son to see Horton Hears a Who, I can take my son. We planned the movie around nap time so that Landon would watch some of the movie and fall asleep. ha ha ha yeah right. He did okay, but about half-way through, after he was full of popcorn and juice, he wanted to visit the neighbors. Landon wants to do the entertaining. So, I had to take him out and he ended up falling asleep out of exhaustion the last 5 minutes of the movie. So, Landon is not going to be a movie goer for a little while longer!

YUMMY!!!

Lately, Landon has been our little garbage disposal. He eats everything, all day long. Especially if it's sweet! He's one of those kids that wanted to taste everything as a crawling baby and now, well, he still wants to taste everything. Here is how our week has been...First, crayons; Landon has started to like coloring, but it only lasts a minute until he starts to bite off the tips to all the crayons. I tell him "that's yucky" and make an "eww" face. Now, whenever he sees crayons or pictures of crayons, he makes that face, but still eats the crayons. NEXT, bathwater; Landon simply cannot resist tasting his bathwater, and of course it's after I've cleaned him and the water is all soapy and who knows if he's pee'd in it yet. I do all I can to stop him, and I still catch him slurping and saying "mmmmmm!!!" with a huge smile. That boy!! Sometimes I can't help but crack up. So finally, (it gets worse), yesterday, he ate a bug. Who knows what kind, but I saw him pick up something black off the ground and he quickly put it in his mouth. I tried my darndest to get it out, but those jaws are like the jaws of...a crockodile. After some force, I got out some of it, but he got some added protein that day. So anywho, my son loves to eat. He's grown a ton lately and I'm glad about that, but maybe from now on I'll try reverse psychology on him. By the way, he drank half that milkshake without taking his eyes or mouth off the straw!

Caught in the Action!
Landon always has a secret mission when he's outside...what a boy! He loves to get dirty and collect all sorts of things; rocks, berries, and sticks are some of his favorites. Lately, he has loved watching an Otter who we've nicknamed "nessy" swim and dive for fish in our pond. He calls for him to come, but of course the otter sees us and swims away. It's been fun for Landon to see though. I'll try to get a picture of it soon.

Also, we think Landon has finally realized that he can laugh as loud as he wants and whenever he wants. As smiley as he is, he only really laughed when we tickled him, but now it seems like he's laughing all the time now...faking it too, when we laugh at the tv or eachother. We've had fun hearing how deep his giggle gets. He's our little man child.
